Request Information

Send us your toughest machining tasks. We can do them faster, and better, for less money than you can do them yourself.

Full 5 axis and multi-axis precision machining means Azimuth CNC has NC controlled rotation of the spindle (B axis) and table (C axis). This enables us to:

Do complex parts in one or two setups.
> Machine on 5 sides of a part with one setup
> Saves set up time
> Reduces error
> Reduces fixturing costs

Use shorter cutters.
> Faster feed rates
> Higher accuracy
> Better finish
> Less time hand benching

Reach geometry impossible to machine on 3 axis machines. Allows faster and cheaper completion of
> Prototypes
> Short run production parts
> Drilling holes with compound angles

Azimuth CNC is in a unique position to help you with your toughest jobs. We have thorough knowledge of Delcam's PowerMILL machining software to write the most effective toolpath. We have been working with DMG to push our machines to their full capabilities. Together, we have developed an efficient, accurate and cost effective process that delivers superior results. Even for parts that could be machined on a 3 axis machine tool, multi-axis machining can be more cost effective by saving time on set up, fixturing and benching.

Give us a call, and send us your work. We know we can help you deliver it faster. You win new business, keep existing customers and stay profitable.

5-Axis Machining Example

Part Produced: Cam for the bottling industry
Material: Rough casting
Dimensions: 19.5" OD

For this job, we started with a 2D drawing and created a 3D model. We used our model to create CNC toolpath to machine the CAM path on our customer's rough casting. Sitting on a fixture we made for the job, here's the whole cam on our big 5 axis machine tool.
A close up of the cutter in the CAM path, showing the tilt of the 5 axis head. This job required using all 5 axes simultaneously, with the head turning and the table tilting at the same time to create the complex cam path.
