Send us your toughest machining tasks. We can do them faster, and better, for less money than you can do them yourself.
Full 5 axis and multi-axis precision machining means Azimuth CNC has NC controlled rotation of the spindle (B axis) and table (C axis). This enables us to:
Do complex parts in one or two setups.
> Machine on 5 sides of a part with one setup
> Saves set up time
> Reduces error
> Reduces fixturing costs
Use shorter cutters.
> Faster feed rates
> Higher accuracy
> Better finish
> Less time hand benching
Reach geometry impossible to machine on 3 axis machines. Allows faster and cheaper completion of
> Prototypes
> Short run ...
Azimuth CNC can help you create prototype parts with our experienced staff of project engineers and machinists. Working with your engineering staff, we can machine a functional prototype from a wide variety of materials to meet your design specifications. Our extensive experience enables us to provide suggestions on part manufacturability and cost containment.
When the prototype has been developed and approved, we can use the knowledge, fixturing and machining strategies used to make the prototype to produce your part at a very reasonable cost. We can usually save you money on complex 3D parts compared to production by other methods like casting or molding. As required, we can also supply secondary and finishing operations like ...
For most of Azimuth CNC's projects, we provide some type of engineering support, ranging from updating models to complete turnkey process development. We can put together a complete package: machine tool, cutting tools, modeling, cnc programming, software, training and technical support to produce an approved part and have it all installed in your facility. Or we can revise the part model per your engineering changes. Or anything in between.
Some of the projects we've worked on include:
Forging dies. Many of our customers have old tooling that needs to be replaced but no CAD model. We can create the CAD model, update the tooling design, create the tooling models and machine new tooling.
Azimuth CNC specializes in mold & die component machining for complex mold cores and cavities with moving parts and multi-shot molds. Tiny ribs and deep cavities that used to require EDM can now be cut on our 5 axis machines, saving our customers time and money and speeding delivery. The combination of a tipped head with shorter cutters gives us the ability to precision machine areas of a part that couldn't be cut within tolerance with a 3 axis machine. Because of the shorter cutters, the surface finish is much better so less fitting and polishing is required.
Even mold and die components that could be cut on a three axis machine tool can be cut faster and more precisely on a 5 axis machine tool. With fewer setups there is less ...
Azimuth CNC offers medical component machining for medical equipment parts that require high precision and close attention to every detail. Our experience has taught us how to produce parts that meet your specifications, on time and on budget.
We have wide experience machining high precision parts for the medical equipment industry, including prototype parts and short run production parts. We've also done complete process development to help customers bring new products to market.
We have experience with unusual materials like titanium, tungsten and various plastics. To meet your requirements, we can also supply secondary and finishing operations like anodizing, heat treating and polishing.
Azimuth CNC uses all of the advantages of 5 axis machining to produce high quality precision machined aerospace parts. Increased speed and superior surface finish are achieved with fewer setups. Complex or ruled surfaces can be machined in one pass, speeding delivery. Compound angle holes and undercuts can be cut quickly and accurately. Using an integrated automated pallet system, we can use unattended machining even on high precision complex parts.
